We are looking for a blogger to join our marketing team and take responsibility for our company blog. You will be tasked with generating new topic ideas, researching topics, and writing highly informative and engaging blog posts that will be published on our company blog. 

Our blog is one of the principal ways we communicate with our customers, so we’re looking for a blogger that has a great eye for detail and can write in an authoritative yet engaging manner. The best way to grab our attention is to share with us a portfolio of blog posts you’ve written in the past so we can check out your writing style.

Responsibilities

  • Write blog posts about a variety of topics
  • Research industry topics (e.g. – conduct interviews and read research studies)
  • Write informative, factual, and engaging content that helps build brand awareness
  • Format blog posts so they can be published in our content management system (CMS)
  • Edit and proofread your blog posts before submitting them to publish
  • Make revisions when instructed by editors and management
  • Undertake keyword research and then implement your findings into your blog posts to help boost SEO
  • Help generate new blog post ideas
  • Ensure your blog posts are written in line with our brand style guidelines
  • Edit and update underperforming blog posts

Requirements

  • Either 2+ years’ experience writing blog posts or a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English, literature, journalism, or a related field of study
  • Proven experience writing blog posts or articles (freelance or in-house)
  • Experience using content management systems (desired)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Google Suite, and WordPress
  • A portfolio of published blog posts (various topics and industries)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • The ability to multi-task
  • The ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
