You will be tasked with overseeing the planning and production of all our internal and external content and ensuring it grows brand awareness, drives sales, and engages existing customers to build loyalty.

As the chief content officer, you will be required to work across the marketing and communications teams to ensure our content meets brand style guidelines and has a consistent message and tone.

Our content strategy involves written content such as blog posts, video content such as product videos, and audio content such as our weekly podcast. If you have experience working on all major forms of content, you’d be a great fit for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing our content strategy across multiple channels
  • Creating a comprehensive brand style guide for the company
  • Working with the marketing, communications, and IT department to ensure we have a consistent brand message in all content 
  • Develop internal systems for content creation 
  • Liaise with the I.T department to ensure we have the best CMS tools
  • Analyze marketing data to find insights that can be used to improve our content strategy
  • Monitor the effectiveness of all content published and make improvements where possible
  • Manage our team of content creators and provide mentorship and advice when required
  • Produce content performance reports to keep track of results
  • Produce thought-leadership articles from time to time

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher )in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience creating and managing the production of successful content 
  • Experience growing an audience and monitoring engagement
  • Experience using a wide variety of digital marketing channels and tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing a team of content creators
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Suite
  • Experience with Google Analytics and major social media platforms
  • Excellent time management and delegation skills
