We are looking for an experienced proofreader to join our content team. Your role will be to carefully review all content before it’s published to ensure its error-free and written to the highest grammatical standards.

As our resident in-house proofreader, you will work with our in-house team of writers to not only edit all content but you’ll also be tasked with giving constructive feedback to each team member to help them become even better writers.

  • Review and edit all written content to ensure it’s accurate and free of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors
  • Provide constructive feedback to our in-house writing team to help them become better writers
  • Ensure all content adheres to AP stylebook guidelines
  • Ensure all content has the appropriate tone and style for its intended audience
  • Ensure all proofreading is completed on time
  • Stay up to date with all grammatical best practices and trends


  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field. Alternatively, you have 2+ years of experience as a proofreader.
  • 2+ years of experience working as a proofreader (within an in-house team or at an agency)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A natural eye for detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize work projects
  • Knowledge of AP stylebook guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Google Docs
  • Proficient in using the WordPress platform (desired)
  • Experience working as part of a team
