We are looking for a detail-oriented editor to help edit and proofread the content we create for our clients. This content includes blog posts, articles, SEO content, ebooks, product descriptions, scripts, technical content, web content, newsletters, white papers, and press releases.

You will be responsible for editing content to ensure it’s error-free (spelling, grammatical, logical consistency, and factual accuracy). 

You’ll also be responsible for making content more concise, compelling, and in line with specific editorial requirements (tone, style, formatting) set by content management. Another responsibility is to provide content writers with constructive feedback on their writing style. 

The goal is to provide exceptional, informative, and engaging content that performs.

Key responsibilities

  • Edit content to make it more concise and compelling
  • Check content for spelling and grammatical errors
  • Ensure content is free of factual inaccuracies and logical inconsistencies
  • Establish editorial quality expectations
  • Suggest alternative headlines and subheading
  • Ensure content is congruent with editorial requirements (tone, style, formatting, keywords)
  • Provide constructive feedback to content writes
  • Consistently meet deadlines 

Ideal candidate

  • Proven professional experience as an editor
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office and Google Docs 
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices (ideal, but not required)
  • Excellent written skills in English (US, UK, NZ, AUS only)
  • An eye for detail along with critical thinking skills
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (ideally in English, literature, or a related field)
