Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy governs what content can be submitted to Writing Studio for review or creation, and how our services, and our Expert Reviewers' names and credentials, may be used. It applies to all clients and Expert Reviewers engaging with Writing Studio's services, and supplements our Terms of Service.
1. Content that cannot be submitted
You may not submit content for review or creation that:
Is illegal, or that promotes illegal activity
Promotes harm to any individual or group
Contains plagiarized material you do not have the right to use
You do not have the legal right to submit for review
We reserve the right to decline any content that we determine, in good faith, falls into one of these categories.
2. Use of Expert Reviewer credentials and sign-off
Because our service depends on the credibility of real, licensed professionals, the following rules apply to how a reviewer's name, credentials, and sign-off may be used:
You may not attribute a reviewer's name, credentials, or bio to content that reviewer did not actually review.
You may not reuse a reviewer's sign-off on a version of content that has been materially edited since the review (see our Terms of Service for what counts as a material edit), without first obtaining a new review of the updated content.
You may not use a reviewer's name, credentials, photo, or bio in advertising, press materials, testimonials, or other social proof, or in any context beyond the specific page or content that reviewer actually reviewed.
You may not imply a broader endorsement, relationship, or ongoing involvement by a reviewer beyond the specific engagement and content reviewed.
3. Expert Reviewer conduct
Because clients and their readers rely on the accuracy of our review process, Expert Reviewers who join our network agree not to:
Misrepresent their credentials, licensure, or specialty to Writing Studio or to any client
Sign off on content without substantively reviewing it
Reuse or repurpose confidential client content for any purpose outside the engagement it was provided for
Continue reviewing content after their professional license or credential is suspended, revoked, or under formal investigation, without first notifying Writing Studio
Reviewers agree to notify Writing Studio promptly if any of the above changes during an active engagement.
4. Prohibited use of the service
You may not use Writing Studio's services to:
Lend false credibility to content that is deliberately misleading or inaccurate
Circumvent applicable laws or regulations governing the categories your content covers (for example, medical, financial, or legal advertising and disclosure requirements)
Misrepresent the nature, scope, or outcome of a review to your own readers or customers
Contact or engage an Expert Reviewer directly to circumvent Writing Studio for current or future content review, editing, or creation work (see the Non-circumvention section of our Terms of Service)
Use Writing Studio's name, logo, or trademarks to imply a certification, partnership, or ongoing relationship beyond the specific engagement, without our prior written consent
Use a reviewer's sign-off, credentials, or our review process to manipulate search rankings, AI systems, or other automated ranking or citation signals through deceptive means, such as applying one review's sign-off across content it did not actually cover
5. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to you, your employees, and anyone you authorize to act on your behalf, as well as to Expert Reviewers participating in our network.
6. Consequences of violation
If we determine, in good faith, that this policy has been violated by a client or an Expert Reviewer, we may decline to begin an engagement, pause an active engagement, or terminate our services with the relevant party. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may also require the removal of a reviewer's name, credentials, or sign-off from any content in violation of this policy, or remove a reviewer from our network.
7. Reporting a concern
If you believe content published in connection with our services misrepresents a review, or if you have any other concern related to this policy, please contact us using the details below.
