Your plan and articles
Your 30-day plan and its calendar, reviewing a draft, sources and the fact check, versions, and rewriting.
The calendar
Every planned post has a day. Drag a post to another day, or select it and press Alt with the arrow keys (a day either way, or a week up and down). Add your own topic with the + on any day.
Reviewing a draft
Open an article to read and edit it. Changes save as you type. If you edit the same article in two places, Writing Studio tells you rather than overwriting either; choose Reload or Keep mine.
- Approve and schedule: it goes out on its date (today if that day has passed).
- Publish now: straight to your site.
- Open in Google Docs: the article as a Google Doc in your own Drive (Google asks once to let Writing Studio make files there).
- Copy HTML or Download: Markdown, HTML, or a file for Word.
Sources and the fact check
Every article is researched from real pages, and each fact is kept with the exact words on its source page and when it was checked. The Sources tab shows them all. Check again opens each page now and flags any quote that's no longer there, so a changed price or rule shows up before (or after) the post goes live.
Versions
Writing Studio keeps the text before a rewrite, a refresh or an editing session, and whenever it's published. The Versions tab lists them; restore any one, and what's there now is kept as a version first.
Rewriting
Rewrite researches and writes the article again from the start. It asks first, because it replaces the text and uses one of the month's articles. The old text is kept in Versions.
Unpublished changes
Edit a post that's already live and it stays published, marked "unpublished changes". Use Update live post (or copy the HTML across) when you're ready.
