Account and security

Everything here is in Settings, at the bottom of the sidebar.

Profile

• Profile picture and First name and Last name: they show in Writing Studio only. Posts are published under your site's name. Names save as you leave the box.
• Email addresses: add another address, make it your main one, or remove one.
• Connected accounts: connect Google to sign in with it, or disconnect it.

Email preferences

Also on Profile. Sign-in codes, receipts and emails about your account always come; the rest you choose:

• Your articles: when drafts are ready for your review, and when you're close to the month's articles
• Weekly summary: on Mondays, what went out, what your articles did and what's coming
• Getting-started tips: a few short emails in your first days
• Product updates: new features, now and then
• News and offers: off unless you turn it on

Every email has an unsubscribe link too. If emails stop arriving, see Troubleshooting.

Security

Settings › Security has how you sign in and where you're signed in:

• Password: set or change it.
• Passkeys and two-step verification, where your account offers them: sign in with your fingerprint, face or device, or add a code from an authenticator app.
• Active devices: every browser you're signed in on, with where and when. Sign any of them out, like a computer you no longer use.

To sign out of this browser, choose your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Sign out.

Appearance

Settings › Appearance: Light, Dark, or System to follow your device. It's saved for this browser, so each device can have its own.

Export your articles

• One article: open it, and from the … menu choose Copy HTML, Download Markdown, Download for Word or Open in Google Docs.
• Your list: Articles › Export CSV, with each article's title, keyword, status, date, words, site, why it was planned and its live address. Select rows first to export only those.

Delete your account

Settings › Security › Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm.

It can't be undone, and it happens straight away:

• Your sites, plans, drafts, images, Search Console and CMS connections and access tokens are deleted.
• Your plan is cancelled at once (not at the end of the period).
• Posts already on your website stay there, with their images.
• If you own a team, its members lose access. If you're a team member, only your own sign-in is deleted; the team carries on.

Writing Studio keeps a scrambled copy of your email address so the free article can't be used twice; it can't be turned back into your address.

Just want to stop paying? Cancel instead (Settings › Billing): your plan keeps working to the end of the period, then you're on Free and nothing is deleted. See Plans and billing.
